Description

The 2026 ExGal-Twin Regional Meeting is an event jointly organised by the ExGal-Twin project and the Research and Knowledge Transfer Support Unit (AIT) of the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias (IAC), in collaboration with the Canary Islands Agency for Research, Innovation and Information Society (ACIISI). The meeting will take place on 23 September 2026 at the IAC headquarters in Tenerife.

Under the title "Innovation in European Project Management (II): AI and New Trends," the meeting's main objective is to bring together R&D&I entities from across the Canary Islands to foster the exchange of experiences, best practices and innovative approaches to European project management. Throughout the day, participants will have the opportunity to receive training on AI and learn how it is being applied at other institutions, such as the University of Groningen (Netherlands).

This free event is open to R&D&I entities across the Canary Islands and aims to create a dynamic space for learning and collaboration.

The event will also serve as the first annual meeting of CIARMA, the Canary Islands Network of European Research and Innovation Managers, an output of the ExGal-Twin project. CIARMA is an informal collaborative network for professionals who manage European and international projects in the Canary Islands, joining as individual members. Its aim is to provide a space to share knowledge, experience and best practices, promoting the professional development of project managers and contributing to strengthening the regional research and innovation ecosystem.
