En este mes de marzo comienza el primer semestre de operación científica del GTC. También este mes está abierta la convocatoria de propuestas de observación para el siguiente semestre, el 2009B, y se está buscando, en la comunidad científica del GTC, aquellos grupos interesados en participar en el desarrollo de los nuevos instrumentos de GTC: dos espectrógrafos de resolución intermedia, uno en el visible y otro en el IR cercano. Es por lo tanto un buen momento para mostrar lonque el GTC es actualmente, sus prestaciones, capacidades y particularidades en su operación, y lo que estamos pensando que seaa corto y medio plazo. The GTC science operation is starting now. A Call for Proposals to observe with the GTC on next semester is also open now. And now we are getting in touch with the interested group in the GTC community to develop the new GTC instruments: two medium resolution spectrographs, one in the visible wavelength range and another in the near IR. Then, is a right time to show what the GTC is now, its performances, capabilities and operation’s details. Also short and medium term plans will be presented.
