    Dr. Asensio Ramos is an Investigador Científico at the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias (IAC). Since earning his Ph.D. in 2004, his career has included a Ramón y Cajal Fellowship and a research positions at the Osservatorio Astrofisico di Arcetri. His academic honors include the 2006 SEA award for Best Spanish Thesis and the 2007 JOSO Career Award. His technical expertise centers on spectropolarimetry, Bayesian inference, and machine learning applied to solar and stellar physics. He developed the Hazel inversion code, a standard tool for the DKIST 4m solar telescope, and has led working packages on 3D inversions and deep learning for image reconstruction within the Solarnet H2020 project. Beyond research, he has supervised 5 PhD students, served as President of the Time Allocation Committee for the Canary Islands solar telescopes, and acts as an image analysis consultant for the Policia Nacional and Guardia Civil.
