Professional profile
I am a Ramón y Cajal tenure-track researcher at the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias (IAC) in Tenerife (Spain) working in Astroparticle Physics.
My research focuses on studying variable and transient objects, particularly Galactic sources, in the very-high-energy gamma-ray domain. I am expert in the Imaging Air Cherenkov Technique (IACT), using ground-based telescopes to indirectly detect gamma rays with energies above 100 GeV (=0.1 TeV). I am involved in several experiments and collaborations in the Cherenkov community, where I have held different positions: LST collaboration (Publications Manager and Member of the Executive Board), MAGIC (former Convener of the Galactic Physics Group and Member of the Executive Board), CTAO Consortium (former Science Coordinator) and the ASTRI Project .
My research is is part of the Project RYC2021-032991-I, funded by MICIU/AEI/10.13039/501100011033, and the European Union “NextGenerationEU”/PRTR
