I am a research scientist at the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias. I did my PhD at the University of Paris XI (France) in helioseismology to study the internal dynamics of the Sun. During my first postdoc at the Indian Institute for Astrophysics (Bangalore, India), I broadened my research to asteroseismology to determine the global acoustic parameters of stars with solar-like oscillations. I then moved to Boulder (CO, USA) where I extended my expertise in the asteroseismic data analysis and modeling. 

I have been studying the structure and dynamics of solar-like stars and understanding the change of these properties during their evolution up to the red-giant branch. With my data analysis and modeling background, I am a leader in providing observational constraints from seismology and photometric data analysis for stellar models. Some highlights are the definition of the photometric magnetic proxy, the detection of solar-like oscillations in red giants close to the edge of our Galaxy, and the Kepler close-out stellar properties catalog. I published the largest catalog of seismic detection in solar-like stars observed by the Kepler mission. My research focuses on understanding the physics behind the observations, including the study of magnetic activity, rotation, and stellar structure evolution.

I am member of several major large international collaborations such as the Kepler Asteroseismic Scientific Consortium (KASC), TESS Asteroseismic Scientific Consortium (TASC), APOKASC (a collaboration between the APOGEE and KASC), APO-K2 (a collaboration between the APOGEE and the K2 mission), 4MOST (4-meter Multi-Object Spectroscopic Telescope). I am member of the PLATO (PLAnetary transits and Oscillations of stars) Science Management and leader of the PLATO Data Center WP37 where I am responsible for the light curve preparation in order to do asteroseismic analysis.
