Expert on solar physics, in particular in the field of spectropolarimetry. Long experience in the analysis of solar observations taken with ground-based, balloon-based, and space telescopes. Also involved in the development of state-of-the-art instrumentation like the Sunrise Chromospheric Infrared spectroPolarimeter, the Gregor Infrared Spectrograph, and the European Solar Telescope. Finally, the researcher has also extensive experience in the use and development of numerical tools to analyse the solar observations through codes that solve the radiative transfer equation to infer the physical information of the solar atmosphere.
