  • The Iapetus' case: NUV as tracer of two populations of dark material
Giant planets have numerous moons with various origins and evolutionary paths. During their formation, they had disks of material, whereas regular satellites formed similarly to planetesimals in the solar disk. During their migration, they also captured objects in their orbits, known as irregular satellites. Iapetus is Saturn's third largest and

  • The frequency of transiting planetary systems around polluted white dwarfs
This paper investigates the frequency of transiting planetary systems around metal-polluted white dwarfs using high-cadence photometry from ULTRACAM and ULTRASPEC on the ground and space-based observations with TESS. Within a sample of 313 metal-polluted white dwarfs with available TESS light curves, two systems known to have irregular transits are

  • The Fourth S-PLUS Data Release: 12-filter photometry covering 3000 square degrees in the southern hemisphere
Context. The Southern Photometric Local Universe Survey (S-PLUS) is a project to map ~9300 sq deg of the sky using twelve bands (seven narrow and five broadbands). Observations are performed with the T80-South telescope, a robotic telescope located at the Cerro Tololo Observatory in Chile. The survey footprint consists of several large contiguous

  • The Dark Energy Survey: Cosmology Results with ∼1500 New High-redshift Type Ia Supernovae Using the Full 5 yr Data Set
We present cosmological constraints from the sample of Type Ia supernovae (SNe Ia) discovered and measured during the full 5 yr of the Dark Energy Survey (DES) SN program. In contrast to most previous cosmological samples, in which SNe are classified based on their spectra, we classify the DES SNe using a machine learning algorithm applied to their

  • The Dark Energy Survey Supernova Program: slow supernovae show cosmological time dilation out to z 1.
We present a precise measurement of cosmological time dilation using the light curves of 1504 Type Ia supernovae from the Dark Energy Survey spanning a redshift range $0.1\lesssim z\lesssim 1.2$. We find that the width of supernova light curves is proportional to $(1+z)$, as expected for time dilation due to the expansion of the Universe. Assuming
