  • Stellar and Planetary Characterization of the Ross 128 Exoplanetary System from APOGEE Spectra
The first detailed chemical abundance analysis of the M-dwarf (M4.0) exoplanet-hosting star Ross 128 is presented here, based upon near-infrared (1.5–1.7 μm), high-resolution (R ∼ 22,500) spectra from the SDSS Apache Point Galactic Evolution Experiment survey. We determined precise atmospheric parameters T eff = 3231 ± 100 K, log g = 4.96 ± 0.11

  • Statistics of the polarized submillimetre emission maps from thermal dust in the turbulent, magnetized, diffuse ISM
Context. The interstellar medium (ISM) is now widely acknowledged to display features ascribable to magnetized turbulence. With the public release of Planck data and the current balloon-borne and ground-based experiments, the growing amount of data tracing the polarized thermal emission from Galactic dust in the submillimetre provides choice

  • Small-scale Magnetic Flux Emergence in the Quiet Sun
Small bipolar magnetic features are observed to appear in the interior of individual granules in the quiet Sun, signaling the emergence of tiny magnetic loops from the solar interior. We study the origin of those features as part of the magnetoconvection process in the top layers of the convection zone. Two quiet-Sun magnetoconvection models

  • Search for t\overline{t}H production in the all-jet final state in proton-proton collisions at √{s}=13 TeV
A search is presented for the associated production of a Higgs boson with a top quark pair in the all-jet final state. Events containing seven or more jets are selected from a sample of proton-proton collisions at √{s}=13 TeV collected with the CMS detector at the LHC in 2016, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 35.9 fb-1. To separate the

  • Search for the flavor-changing neutral current interactions of the top quark and the Higgs boson which decays into a pair of b quarks at √{s}=13 TeV
A search for flavor-changing neutral currents (FCNC) in events with the top quark and the Higgs boson is presented. The Higgs boson decay to a pair of b quarks is considered. The data sample corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 35.9 fb-1 recorded by the CMS experiment at the LHC in proton-proton collisions at √{s}=13 TeV. Two channels are

  • Search for single production of vector-like quarks decaying to a b quark and a Higgs boson
A search is presented for single production of heavy vector-like quarks (B) that decay to a Higgs boson and a b quark, with the Higgs boson decaying to a highly boosted b\overline{b} pair reconstructed as a single collimated jet. The analysis is based on data collected by the CMS experiment in proton-proton collisions at √{s}=13 TeV, corresponding
