Optical studies of the X-ray transient XTE J2123-058 - II. Phase-resolved spectroscopyWe present time-resolved spectroscopy of the soft X-ray transient XTEJ2123-058 in outburst. A useful spectral coverage of 3700-6700Å was achieved spanning two orbits of the binary, with single-epoch coverage extending to ~9000Å. The optical spectrum approximates a steep blue power law, consistent with emission on the Rayleigh-Jeans tail of a hotHynes, R. I. et al.

On faint companions in the close environment of star-forming dwarf galaxies. Possible external star formation triggers? We have searched for companion galaxies in the close environment of 98 star-forming dwarf galaxies (SFDGs) from field and low density environments, using the NASA Extragalactic Database. Most of the companions are dwarf galaxies which due to observational selection effects were previously disregarded in environmental studies of SFDGs. A subsampleNoeske, K. G. et al.

Multiepoch Multiwavelength Spectra and Models for Blazar 3C 279Of the blazars detected by EGRET in GeV γ-rays, 3C 279 is not only the best observed by EGRET but also one of the best monitored at lower frequencies. We have assembled 11 spectra, from GHz radio through GeV γ-rays, from the time intervals of EGRET observations. Although some of the data have appeared in previous publications, most are newHartman, R. C. et al.

Line-profile variations of the double-lined spectroscopic binary kappa ScorpiiWe present a total time series of high signal-to-noise, high-resolution spectra of the SiIII lambda 4552.6, lambda 4567.8 and lambda 4574.8 Å lines of the fast-rotating, spectroscopic binary and beta Cephei star kappa Scorpii. Among this data set is a sample of 422 spectra of intensive monitoring during eight subsequent nights in July 1997. We findUytterhoeven, K. et al.

JHKL' photometry of AGB stars (Kerschbaum+, 2001)Multi-epoch near-infrared photometry for a sample of long period variables (SR, L, Mira). Data have been obtained at the Observatorio del Teide using the 1.5m "Carlos Sanchez Telescope" with the "CVF Photometer-Spectrophotometer". The sample has been selected based on three observing programs at the ISO satellite. (5 data files).Kerschbaum, F. et al.
