  • The CHEOPS view of the climate of WASP-3 b
Context. Hot Jupiters are giant planets subject to intense stellar radiation. The physical and chemical properties of their atmosphere make them the most amenable targets for atmospheric characterization. Aims. In this paper we analyze the photometry collected during the secondary eclipses of the hot Jupiter WASP-3 b by CHEOPS, TESS, and Spitzer

  • The CARMENES search for exoplanets around M dwarfs: The impact of rotation and magnetic fields on the radial velocity jitter in cool stars
Context. Radial velocity (RV) jitter represents an intrinsic limitation on the precision of Doppler searches for exoplanets that can originate from both instrumental and astrophysical sources. Aims. We aim to determine the RV jitter floor in M dwarfs and investigate the stellar properties that lead to RV jitter induced by stellar activity. Methods

  • Symbiotic stars, weird novae, and related embarrassing binaries
It has been more than a decade since the last meeting on symbiotic stars and related objects was convened. This year participants gathered in Prague to discuss developments in the field, in part prompted by new surveys and observatories.

  • Spectroscopic analysis of the strongly lensed SN Encore: constraints on cosmic evolution of Type Ia supernovae
Strong gravitational lensing magnifies the light from a background source, allowing us to study these sources in detail. Here, we study the spectra of a $z = 1.95$ lensed Type Ia supernova (SN Ia) SN Encore for its brightest image A, taken 39 d apart. We infer the spectral age with template matching using the supernova identification (SNID )

  • Secondary halo bias through cosmic time: II. Reconstructing halo properties using clustering information
Context. When constructing mock galaxy catalogs based on suites of dark matter halo catalogs generated with approximated, calibrated, or machine-learning approaches, assigning intrinsic properties for these tracers is a step of paramount importance, given that they can shape the abundance and spatial distribution of mock galaxies and galaxy

  • Revealing the Quiescent Galaxy Population in the Spiderweb Protocluster at z = 2.16 with Deep HST/WFC3 Slitless Spectroscopy
We report the Hubble Space Telescope Wide Field Camera 3 G141 grism slitless spectroscopy observation of the core region of the Spiderweb protocluster at z = 2.16. We analyzed the spectra of all objects in a field of view and identified 40 protocluster members, recovering 19 previously identified Hα emitters in addition to revealing 21 new members
