Professional profile
I am an astrophysicist studying how supermassive black holes are fueled and how AGN feedback regulates galaxy evolution. My research traces the multi-phase gas cycle—linking inflows, turbulence, and outflows—across AGN from low-luminosity systems to powerful radio galaxies and luminous quasars.
My work combines high-resolution observations across the radio, millimeter, optical, and infrared regimes with detailed kinematic analysis and comparisons with state-of-the-art simulations. I have held research positions in Brazil, France, Greece, and Spain, and I am currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias, where I lead the radio astronomy component of the ExGal-Twin consortium. I am an active member of the NUGA, GATOS, QSOFEED, ExGal-Twin, and WEAVE-APERTIF collaborations, and I am the principal investigator of several ALMA and VLA observational programs. I lead the TURMOIL research line, which aims to deliver a unified, multi-phase view of AGN fueling and feedback across AGN populations.
