I'm an astrophysicist whose research explores how galaxies form and evolve throughout the history of the Universe. I specialise in studying massive and relic galaxies—ancient systems that have remained largely unchanged since the early cosmos—as well as low-mass and ultra-diffuse galaxies that challenge current models of galaxy formation.

My work combines detailed stellar population analysis, spectroscopy, and structural modeling to reveal how galaxies assemble their stars, metals, and black holes over billions of years. I've held research positions in Spain, Hawaii, and Australia, and I'm currently a “Ramón y Cajal" Fellow at the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias, where I am also the PI of the extragalactic group TRACES, member of the research committee, and representative of the Severo Ochoa Galaxy line.

Beyond my research, I am strong advocate for diversity and inclusion in science, actively promoting the visibility of women in STEM through outreach, mentorship, and international initiatives such as the Homeward Bound leadership program.
