Description
The High Optical Resolution Spectrograph (HORuS) is a high-resolution spectrograph in operation at the 10-m Gran Telescopio Canarias (GTC) based on components from UES. HORuS is a cross-dispersed echelle spectrograph to observe in the range 380-800 nm with a FWHM resolving power of about 25,000.
HORuS is being actively used for research in the chemical composition of stars and planets.
