  • Search for planets around stars with wide brown dwarfs
Aims: This work aims to better understand the role of wide brown dwarf companions in planetary systems. Methods: We obtained high-resolution spectra of six bright stars with co-moving wide substellar companions with the high-resolution SONG, CARMENES, and STELLA spectrographs. We used these spectra to derive radial velocities together with a

  • Samples returned from the asteroid Ryugu are similar to Ivuna-type carbonaceous meteorites
Carbonaceous meteorites are thought to be fragments of C-type (carbonaceous) asteroids. Samples of the C-type asteroid (162173) Ryugu were retrieved by the Hayabusa2 spacecraft. We measure the mineralogy, bulk chemical and isotopic compositions of Ryugu samples. They are mainly composed of materials similar to carbonaceous chondrite meteorites

  • RR Lyrae Mid-infrared Period-Luminosity-Metallicity and Period-Wesenheit-Metallicity Relations Based on Gaia DR3 Parallaxes
We present new empirical infrared period-luminosity-metallicity (PLZ) and period-Wesenheit-metallicity (PWZ) relations for RR Lyae based on the latest Gaia Early Data Release 3 (EDR3) parallaxes. The relations are provided in the Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer (WISE) W1 and W2 bands, as well as in the W(W1, V - W1) and W(W2, V - W2) Wesenheit

  • Rotational modulation in A and F stars: magnetic stellar spots or convective core rotation?
The Kepler mission revealed a plethora of stellar variability in the light curves of many stars, some associated with magnetic activity or stellar oscillations. In this work, we analyse the periodic signal in 162 intermediate-mass stars, interpreted as Rossby modes and rotational modulation - the so-called hump and spike feature. We investigate

  • Resolved CO(1-0) Emission and Gas Properties in Luminous Dusty Star-forming Galaxies at z = 2-4
We present the results of a survey of CO(1-0) emission in 14 infrared luminous dusty star-forming galaxies (DSFGs) at 2 < z < 4 with the NSF's Karl G. Jansky Very Large Array. All sources are detected in 12CO(1-0), with an angular resolution of ~1″. Seven sources show extended and complex structure. We measure CO luminosities of $(\mu ){L}_{\mathrm

  • Radial velocity confirmation of a hot super-Neptune discovered by TESS with a warm Saturn-mass companion
We report the discovery and confirmation of the planetary system TOI-1288. This late G dwarf harbours two planets: TOI-1288 b and TOI-1288 c. We combine TESS space-borne and ground-based transit photometry with HARPS-N and HIRES high-precision Doppler measurements, which we use to constrain the masses of both planets in the system and the radius of
