  • The Episodic Dust-Maker WR:125 - Part Two - Spectroscopy and Photometry during Infrared Maximum
During 1992-93 the infrared flux from the Wolf-Rayet star WR 125, which formed a dust shell in 1990-91, reached a maximum. This is attributed to the continuous formation of dust in its wind until early 1993. Spectroscopy of the dust cloud in the 10-μm region showed that the expected WR emission lines were completely veiled by featureless emission

  • Spectral Analysis of the Gravitational Radiation Emitted by Binary Systems in Moderately Eccentric Orbits - Application to Coalescing Binaries
We obtain the form of the gravitational waves emitted by eccentric binary systems, including general relativistic periastron advance effects. Using the method of stationary phase, we find the Fourier transform of the amplitude. The Fourier analysis is based on an approximation of the waveform consisting of a linear superposition of five harmonics

  • Optical Observations of Supernova 1993J from La-Palma - Part One - Days 2 TO 125
We present astrometric, photometric and spectroscopic observations of supernova 1993J in M8 1, obtained with the Isaac Newton Group telescopes and the Carlsberg Automatic Meridian Circle. The spectral data set includes the first spectrum ever taken of SN1993J. The early spectra also yield an estimate of the total visual extinction, Aν. This is
