  • Optical design of an image slicer-based integral field unit for the THEMIS solar telescope
THEMIS, a 90 cm solar telescope, offers spectropolarimetric observations in the VIS and NIR spectral ranges through a long-slit spectrograph. Now, an image slicer-based Integral Field Unit (IFU) is being developed as an evolution of the long-slit set-up. The IFU will allow observing a 2D Field-of-View (FoV) and several spectral regions

  • Optical and mechanical updates in the GREGOR Infrared Spectrograph for simultaneous spectral observations
The GREGOR Infrared Spectrograph (GRIS) can perform spectropolarimetric observations in 1.0-1.8 μm and pure spectroscopic in the band 2.0-2.3 μm. The spectrograph has a Czerny-Turner design and has allowed the operation in the traditional long-slit mode since 2014. And also, in IFU mode since was upgraded in 2018. A third upgrade took place in 2021

  • OGLE-2018-BLG-0799Lb: a q 2.7 × 10-3 planet with Spitzer parallax
We report the discovery and analysis of a planet in the microlensing event OGLE-2018-BLG-0799. The planetary signal was observed by several ground-based telescopes, and the planet-host mass ratio is q = (2.65 ± 0.16) × 10 -3. The ground-based observations yield a constraint on the angular Einstein radius θ E, and the microlensing parallax vector $

  • NIRPS fiber-link design, performances and modal noise mitigation performances tested on sky
NIRPS (Near Infra-Red Planet Searcher) is an AO-assisted and fiber-fed high-resolution spectrograph operating in the YJH-bands at the ESO 3.6m telescope in La Silla Observatory, Chile. The optimal geometrical scrambling and the minimization of the modal noise, requested to reach 1 m s−1 precision in radial velocity, is obtained by combining

  • New Robotic Telescope optical design
The New Robotic Telescope will be a fully autonomous, rapid reaction, primarily spectroscopic facility for the classification of astronomical transients. The 4.18m diameter primary mirror is to be composed of 18 hexagonal mirror segments, arranged with a secondary mirror that feeds the Cassegrain focal stations with an F/10.635 beam. The final

  • Near-ultraviolet to visible spectroscopy of the Themis and Polana-Eulalia complex families
Context. Spectrophotometry data of asteroids obtained in the 1980s showed that there are large variations in their near-ultraviolet (NUV) reflectance spectra. Reflectance spectra at NUV wavelengths are important because they help detect the presence of hydrated minerals and organics on the asteroid surfaces. However, the NUV wavelength region has
