  • The Penas Pasera tumulus field of the Celtiberian city of Aratis (Aranda del Moncayo, Zaragoza, Spain) and the Celtic calendar
Within the actions carried out by the Directorate General of Cultural Heritage of the Government of Aragon in relation to the judicial procedure on the pillage of the Celtiberian city of Aratis (Aranda de Moncayo, Zaragoza), a large area was located with several concentrations of tumular structures in the area of Penas Pasera, previously

  • The metal-rich halo tail extended in |z|: a characterization with Gaia DR2 and APOGEE
We report an analysis of the metal-rich tail ([Fe/H] > -0.75) of stars located at distances from the Galactic plane up to |z| ˜ 10 kpc, observed by the Apache Point Observatory Galactic Evolution Experiment (APOGEE). We examine the chemistry, kinematics, and dynamics of this metal-rich sample using chemical abundances and radial velocities provided

  • The L 98-59 System: Three Transiting, Terrestrial-size Planets Orbiting a Nearby M Dwarf
We report the Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS) discovery of three terrestrial-size planets transiting L 98-59 (TOI-175, TIC 307210830)—a bright M dwarf at a distance of 10.6 pc. Using the Gaia-measured distance and broadband photometry, we find that the host star is an M3 dwarf. Combined with the TESS transits from three sectors, the

  • The Fornax3D project: Tracing the assembly history of the cluster from the kinematic and line-strength maps
The 31 brightest galaxies (mB ≤ 15 mag) inside the virial radius of the Fornax cluster were observed from the centres to the outskirts with the Multi Unit Spectroscopic Explorer on the Very Large Telescope. These observations provide detailed high-resolution maps of the line-of-sight kinematics, line strengths of the stars, ionised gas reaching 2-3

  • The evolutionary status of Cataclysmic Variables: eclipse modelling of 15 systems
We present measurements of the component masses in 15 Cataclysmic Variables (CVs) - 6 new estimates and 9 improved estimates. We provide new calibrations of the relationship between superhump period excess and mass ratio, and use this relation to estimate donor star masses for 225 superhumping CVs. With an increased sample of donor masses we

  • The Dust and Molecular Gas in the Brightest Cluster Galaxy in MACS 1931.8-2635
We present new Atacama Large Millimeter Array observations of the molecular gas and far-infrared continuum around the brightest cluster galaxy (BCG) in the cool-core cluster MACS 1931.8-2635. Our observations reveal (1.9 ± 0.3) × 1010 M ⊙ of molecular gas, on par with the largest known reservoirs of cold gas in a cluster core. We detect CO(1‑0), CO
