Instrumentación infrarroja

La instrumentación para detectar y analizar la luz en el rango infrarrojo del espectro es uno de los campos de conocimiento del Área de Instrumentación. El diseño y construcción de cámaras y espectrógrafos infrarrojos requiere de tecnologías del alto vacío y criogenia, que abarcan las especialidades de la ingeniería mecánica, óptica y electrónica, principalmente. La integración y funcionamiento de mecanismos y dispositivos en criogenia es especialmente compleja y exige unos conocimientos y equipamiento altamente especializados. El Área de Instrumentación tiene una larga historia de participación internacional en este tipo de instrumentación.
