  • Low-mass low-metallicity AGB stars as an efficient i-process site explaining CEMP-rs stars
Context. Among carbon-enhanced metal-poor (CEMP) stars, some are found to be enriched in slow-neutron capture (s-process) elements (and are then tagged CEMP-s), some have overabundances in rapid-neutron capture (r-process) elements (tagged CEMP-r), and some are characterized by both s- and r-process enrichments (tagged CEMP-rs). The current

  • LeMMINGs - II. The e-MERLIN legacy survey of nearby galaxies. The deepest radio view of the Palomar sample on parsec scale
We present the second data release of high-resolution (≤0.2 arcsec) 1.5-GHz radio images of 177 nearby galaxies from the Palomar sample, observed with the e-MERLIN array, as part of the Legacy e-MERLIN Multi-band Imaging of Nearby Galaxies Sample (LeMMINGs) survey. Together with the 103 targets of the first LeMMINGs data release, this represents a

  • Joint gas and stellar dynamical models of WLM: an isolated dwarf galaxy within a cored, prolate DM halo
We present multitracer dynamical models of the low-mass (M * ∼ 10 7), isolated dwarf irregular galaxy WLM in order to simultaneously constrain the inner slope of the dark matter (DM) halo density profile (γ) and flattening (q DM), and the stellar orbital anisotropy (β z, β r). For the first time, we show how jointly constraining the mass

  • Introducing Inverse Problem Solvers in the 2.3 Release of the PHOEBE Eclipsing Binary Modeling Code
The development of PHOEBE (phoebe-project.org) in the 2.0 through 2.2 releases has focused entirely on the forward model — creating synthetic models of light curve and radial velocity curves of eclipsing binary systems. The recent 2.3 release turns this focus towards addressing the inverse problem with the goal of determining the best parameter

  • Individual dynamical masses of DENIS J063001.4-184014AB reveal a likely young brown dwarf triple
The binary nature of the M8.5 dwarf DENIS J063001.4-184014AB (DE0630-18) was discovered with astrometric monitoring from the ground, which determined the unresolved photocentric orbit and the trigonometric parallax of the system. Here we present radial velocity monitoring and resolved observations in the near-infrared with Keck aperture masking

  • Improving light curve parameters of exoplanets based on TESS data
We revise parameters of four transiting hot Jupiter planets discovered by ground-based surveys. We use follow-up observations carried by TESS mission together with PyTransit software. Space telescopes like TESS provide better coverage and photometry precision than ground-based telescopes. PyTransit is fast and user-friendly exoplanet transit light
